About Me
Lawrence J. Centola, Jr. “Larry”, is a native New Orleanian and resides in the Carrollton area with his wife. As a father and grandfather, he has been trying civil and criminal cases for more than 50 years. He began his legal career as a defense attorney. Decades later, he realized that his passion lay in representing every-day citizens. After earning a B.A. in Government from LSU, he received a JD from the LSU Law Center. Larry has remained active with the law school, currently serving on the Alumni Board of Trustees and is on the faculty of the Trial Advocacy Program, an intense, hand-on litigation skills program for all seniors.
Larry began his practice as an Assistant District Attorney in Orleans Parish, becoming a homicide prosecutor and founding director of the Career Criminal Bureau. The Louisiana Supreme Court appointed Larry to its Committee on Bar Admissions, initially as the Examiner in Torts, Director of Character and Fitness, and finally Chair of the Committee. He received the President’s Award from the Louisiana State Bar Association. Larry is also a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice.
A big LSU fan, Larry can be found rooting for the Tigers, whether it is football, baseball or anything in between. Larry is a dedicated member of Rugaroux Q, a barbecue team for Hogs for a Cause, raising funds for pediatric brain cancer.
