Blake Jones is a leader in Maritime & Jones Act advocacy. With his over 50 years of practicing law, Blake and his Team have the ability and knowledge to tackle the most difficult cases. From his early days as a civil rights attorney to his current practice specializing in maritime and personal injury, Blake understands the diverse and unique nature of the laws that govern the waters, the land, and the roadways.
Blake majored in History at Louisiana State University and received his Juris Doctorate from Tulane Law School. He also received a Fulbright-Hays Study Grant to the University of Belgrade (Serbia). He frequently lectures on Civil Law and Maritime issues.
A former little league coach with the New Orleans Recreation Department, Blake prides himself on telling great stories. He is active in the community and is former Board Chair of Family Services of Greater New Orleans.
Blake was a National Board member of St. Jude’s Ranch for Children and past president of the New Orleans Coalition. He is currently on the board of the Made in New Orleans Foundation and the Louisiana Civil Rights Museum Advisory Board. Blake is also active with the Bureau of Governmental Research and the Public Affairs Research Council.
